Drone Software is the app on your iphone or in your remote control that flies your drone in a pattern for mapping. I have used Map Pilot Pro and DroneLink. I have not used a bunch of others that may have come with your drone or are add-ons like DJI Terra. I found that Map Pilot Pro, free, has its limitations and inaccuracies. I spent a little money for Dronelink, $130, and I like it a lot. It is stable and not so quirky. I did have some issues with it in high winds.
