DEP is saddled with the responsibility of protecting these wetland habitats and maintaining the public’s trust. They are working with the folks at UMass to develop a comprehensive yet reasonable set of guidelines and policies to regulate the actual restoration work and the documentation of its practice and outcome.  Click here to see a preliminary “Standard Operating Procedure” developed last June that is a guidance for you to follow.
