Myrmica rubra , the European Fire Ant, is a stinging ant found mostly on Cape Ann but has been confirmed in Topsfield by Professor Eldridge Adams at UConn.

Here’s a list of species discovered at Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary in Topsfield. The list is supplied by Dr. Robert Buchsbaum of the MAS staff.
