Biodiversity = Tree of Life +

It started by asking the question, “What animals and plants live in my town?”

To answer that simple question leads one through a maze of internet alphabet soup, dark and dusty cabinets in the dungeons of museums and reams of century-old lists of species-occurrence anecdotes.

The purpose of this web site is to enable you to access the records of sightings and specimens that have been discovered in our back yard and around the world. With time, you will be able to share your discoveries with your neighbors and with the world’s natural scientists.

How do we bring this together? The side bar begins to identify some resources others are working on.
